i mean, mob mentality for sure. but just the fact that when people group together, they get stupid. one mind is way better then 10 unless they are smart, more disciplined people. but usually, people as a mass are dumb.

But yeah mob mentality is actually a really interesting subject. There are psychologists who dedicate their work to an understanding of the behavior. It seems like a pre-evolutionary mode of thought. When people group together they seem to think that they can just go along with the flow. There may not even be one person in absolute control, but as soon as one person leans toward an action it's easy for others to pick up on it and add to it without thinking about it themselves. It seems kind of degenerate but I'm sure we've all been guilty of it one time or another... of course most of us haven't burned anyone at the stake
